Seniors Enjoy Fishing

Fishing can be fun at any age. It does not matter if you are fishing from a boat or from the shore, fishing is a relaxing thing to do. It does not take a lot to catch fish; all you need is a little tackle, like hooks, weights, and a bobber. If you do not have a rod and reel, a good sturdy stick and some fishing line will work. If you are really into your fishing, you might want to get some bells so they will ring when the fish nibble while night fishing. Ponds, lakes, rivers, creeks, even the seas and the oceans - they all have fish in them.

If you like fresh water fish like smallmouth bass, steelhead trout walleye, and yellow perch, then Lake Erie is the place to go. In Florida’s lakes, you can fish for black bass, stripers, black crappie, and breams. Florida also has some pretty good catfish holes. In Lake Michigan, the Vancouver Islands and Campbell River have salmon, steelhead, and trout. There are seven freshwater lakes in Texas and these lakes are full of bass, stripers, crappie, and red and white perch, just waiting to outsmart the fisherman. These are just a few of the many places to which you can take a fishing trip to fish for freshwater fish in a freshwater lake.

To learn more about fishing, check out some websites. You will find maps to some fantastic fishing holes. These sites will show you several places where you can hire fishing guides and charter boats. Some of the sites will show you where you can purchase your fishing license, along with all the rules and regulations.
