Golf is a game that seniors seem to love to play. It can be very demanding on your back if you are not careful. There are ways to modify your swing so that it will not be as hard on your back. Remember, you are not Arnie or Jack or Tiger. You do not have to try for the green on every first shot. If it takes a couple more shots to get to the green, you are still out in the sunshine with your friends enjoying the companionship of the game. Perhaps they are not as good as they used to be either.
Now that you have the time and money to play, you don't want a little thing like pain getting in your way. What you need to do is simplify your swing. If you are trying to get your instructions from what you see on TV from the pros, then that is much too complicated for your skill and your age.
Your swing needs to be simple. Take it easy. Don't try the complicated things the pros are doing. Remember, that is their life. Their income and their future depend on it. Yours does not.
One suggestion is to play golf in the morning, go to lunch with the bunch, and then go home and take a nap in the afternoon so you are ready for the evening activities. That is what retirement is all about.
