Photography can be a very expensive hobby, but there are some steps you can take to decrease your costs. Learn to use your camera properly by reading the user's guide and take lots of photos. You will learn exactly what your camera is capable of doing. If possible, take a photography class at your local college. Whenever possible use a tripod, because your pictures will turn out clearer. Buy used equipment whenever you can. Go to your local public library and borrow books on photography to save on your costs.
Digital cameras are becoming less expensive these days. When using a digital camera, you don’t have film to develop. You can keep the pictures you want and delete the ones you don’t. You can download pictures from your camera onto a computer. From there, you can leave them stored in your computer, print them on picture paper, put them onto a disc or even send them to family and friends using the internet. Once you learn how to do this, it is really simple and a lot of fun.
You can photograph anything you wish, people, flowers, landscape, houses, the list is endless. You can zoom in and get those close-up shots or zoom out to get more of the background. This is a hobby for home, travel or even for daily walks. The more pictures you take, the better photographer you’ll become and the more you will enjoy it.
Keep you camera with you. You never know when you might be inspired to use it.
